Robotic Dogs at Mar-a-Lago: A New Era of High-Tech Security

The US Secret Service has improved its security by adding robotic dogs to its team, especially at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump’s estate in Florida. After two attempted attacks on the president-elect recently, the agency decided to use this high-tech solution to enhance security. 

These robot dogs, called Spot, are made by Boston Dynamics and patrol the grounds of the estate.

Spot is a robot designed to patrol large, open areas. It helps keep watch where regular security might overlook things. Even though Spot isn’t armed, it acts like an extra set of eyes and ears. The idea of using a robotic guard like Spot is becoming more popular.

What Makes Spot So Special?

Spot is equipped with cameras and sensors that help it create a 3D map of its surroundings. It can detect unusual activity and send live video to its human operators.

It can walk, trot, climb stairs, and open doors. Unlike regular security tools, Spot can navigate uneven ground and access places that are hard for people or wheeled devices to reach.

Pre-Programmed Patrols

You can control Spot by hand or program it to follow specific routes. This allows the quadruped robot to patrol areas regularly, just like a human guard.
