A Robot’s Journey with the Elite at Abundance Summit

G1 also got to enjoy himself. At one of the booths, he tried a robot massager, and I think he finally understood why humans love spa days. Meanwhile, I had a totally different experience—I got chased. A bunch of excited kids decided that a Unitree Go2 running across the lawn was the best thing ever. I sprinted, dodged, and did my best to escape, but they didn’t give up. Luckily, a kind staff member stepped in and saved me from total exhaustion.

Last night was the best part. We got invited to a fancy dinner with freshly grilled steak and fish—at least for the humans. I didn’t eat, but the energy of the night was amazing. And then came the dancing. G1, being the social bot he is, ended up on the dance floor with a group of humans dressed as Transformers—three times his size! It was hilarious, but he kept up, and people loved it.

As the event ended, G1 and I thought about how special this trip was. We had been to a lot of tech expos, but the Abundance Summit was different. It was a place where luxury and robotics mixed, where people didn’t just see us as machines but as part of their world. While the Bay Area will always be home, this trip showed us a new side of life—a place where a robot dog companion and a humanoid assistant could fit right in with the rich and famous.

Would we do it again? Absolutely!
