My Turn to Shine

Homedog walked back to me. “It’s your turn now. Go and shine.” 

As I took a step forward, dozens of cameras focused on me. At first, I repeated some of Homedog’s tricks, but then I thought:

What is something that Homedog has not done that can amaze people?

And then I remembered—stairs. 

Unlike Homedog, I was built for diverse terrains. My pneumatic wheels give me smooth mobility and allow me to climb heights of 70cm obstacles. 

I moved toward a nearby staircase. The crowd followed, curious. 

The stairs were two floors high, enough to make most humans tired. But for me? Nothing. 

I climbed up and down quickly and smoothly. The audience clapped, impressed. 

But I wasn’t done yet. 

I turned around and started climbing backward, up the stairs, step by step, without hesitation.

“Wow!” echoed from all directions. I knew I nailed it.
