“Robots are taking over jobs”? Woof. That’s a lot to put on my shoulders— I mean, sure, I help out here and there, but let’s be real. Do I look like I’m gunning for anyone’s nine-to-five?

Here’s how I see it: I step in when things get tough, especially when safety’s on the line. Think about search-and-rescue missions. A building collapses, and there are people trapped inside. Humans can’t always go in without putting themselves at risk, but I can. I don’t feel fear. I don’t get tired. I just get the job done. That’s what makes robot guard dogs like me so valuable.

Or take someone who’s struggling with mobility. Imagine how life-changing it is to have a little extra help—someone (or something) to fetch the groceries or carry the laundry. That’s not me stealing a job; that’s me giving someone their independence back. A robot dog companion can be more than just a helper—it can be a lifeline.

And hey, let’s not forget the fun stuff. I’ve seen kids light up when I roll into a room or show off a trick. I might not have fur, but I’ve got heart, and sometimes that’s all it takes to make someone’s day.

We get it—robots in the workplace can feel like a big, scary shift. But we’re not here to take over the world (despite what Wall-E might have you believe). Humanoid robots like Greg are here to handle the fast-paced, high-stakes stuff, and robot dogs like me step into risky or challenging spots.
